Kuala Lumpur World Marching Band Competition (KLWMBC) 2008 will be holding their fourth road show and Ticket Sales Launching at Plaza Damas, Sri Hartamas in conjunction with Malaysian Motorsports Concourse 2008. Among the exciting itinerary for the day includes: performance by the Klang High School Marching Band at 1150am and 1330pm. Tickets is available for sale at 10% discount..
The road show starts at 10.00 am and ends at 6.00 pm. The purpose of this road show is to promote and publicize the upcoming 5-days marching band competition which is scheduled to run from July 30 to August 3. KLWMBC’s objective is to inculcate the sense of teamwork, harmony and international cooperation through a common interest in marching bands.
The actual competition will see the participation of over 20 marching bands with more than 2,000 members from North America, Europe, South Africa, Asia Pacific and Far East. It is also a benchmarking point for Malaysian bands to compete internationally. The finals of KLWMBC will be held at Stadium Merdeka on August 3, 2008. Among the exciting itinerary for the day includes: performances by the Marching Band; colouring contest for children; performances by KLWMBC Ambassador - popular local artiste (Andy from Flop Poppy); quizzes, lucky draw and fun games.
The roadshow starts at 10.00 am and ends at 10.00 pm. Johor Bahru mayor YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Naim bin Nasir is very supportive of KLWMBC 2008 coming to Johor Bahru this coming August. During discussions with KLWMBC delegation led by CEO Norzam Baharu Zaman the mayor encouraged such activities and shared with the delegation his vision in transforming Johor Bahru into a world class city. One of his goals is to bring world class performances to Johor Bahru.
KLMBC 2008 was at the City Square Johor Bahru last weekend. The SIGS marching band entertained the crowd with their rendition of popular tunes. A total of six hundred people joined KLWMBC FRENZ . It was a memorable outing and KLWMBC will be at the KINTA CITY Ipoh this 19th. See you there!
